Mechanical Engineering and Business Management
The degree programme Engineering Management (in the discipline: Mechanical Engineering) is run in cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and the Faculty of Business Studies at the FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. The integrated engineering and economics education opens up excellent career prospects and diverse fields of application in production, procurement, logistics, controlling, marketing, sales, quality, project or product management for graduates.

Structure of studies: core studies + in-depth studies
The individual modules are formed by different forms of learning and work such as lectures, seminars, exercises, laboratory practicals independent studies and examinations. The programme consists of compulsory and elective modules, a practical project, the Bachelor's thesis and the colloquium. The wide-ranging contents are taught fundamentally in the core course and later in greater depth.

Optional: "Technical Sales" specialisation
Students interested in technical sales can choose the specialisation "Sales Engineer". While in the more generalist specialisation "Engineering Management" extended knowledge of internal company processes is acquired (e.g. quality management, corporate management and logistics), in the specialisation "Sales Engineer" the focus is on processes specifically related to the customer (e.g. sales, communication and negotiation).
