PEBA - TEST STAND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRIC CHARGING SYSTEMS FOR FUEL CELLS

The student project "PEBA" aims to build a test bench for the design, operation and analysis of an electric compressor (EAV) and to prepare it for a digital online practical test. In the process, the construction of a test stand base with interactive measurement and control technology is planned and carried out by students.

On the basis of the measurement data obtained through the test stand operation, characteristic diagrams are built up, which allow the characteristics of different EAV test carriers to be represented. Within the scope of participation in the test stand operation within this practical experiment, the students are able to virtually experience and actively accompany the measurement of an EAV, from the planning of the measurement programme to the execution of corresponding measurement series on the test stand to the evaluation of the measurement data for the creation of a characteristic diagram. The construction of the test stand and the design of the practical experiment are carried out by student project participants whose tasks consist of the planning, construction and commissioning of an EAV test stand and the subsequent design of reproducible measurement programmes.

The aforementioned practical course is based on the virtual participation of the students in the planning, execution and evaluation of an EAV measurement. In the process, a practical course moderator in the test stand is to have physical access to the test stand control system, while the students participate from home within the framework of the digital online design and are actively involved in the measurement through virtual access to the control and measurement systems of the test stand.
