Change of Degree Programme or Area of Specialisation

You are already studying at FH Aachen and would like to change degree programmes? Then please apply via the online application portal of FH Aachen. You will find further information on the application page.

For the online application, please register anew as applicant at the FH Aachen Portal. After the registration you can apply with your applicant ID through the FH Aachen Portal. Please note the applicable application deadlines. It is not possible to change programmes during the current semester.

Internal students with a foreign university entrance qualification should contact auslandszulassungfh-aachen.de before submitting their online application to find out more about the procedure.

When changing to a higher subject-specific semester, a classification by the faculty is required. Fill out the application for classification in case of transfer to another university
and have it signed by the Examination Board of the respective faculty of the FH Aachen.

Upload the classification confirmed by the faculty to the online application.

If a degree programme is also admission-restricted in higher subject-specific semesters, it is possible that not all applicants will be offered a place.

After the re-registration phase has been completed, the number of places at university that are still available will be determined and these will then be allocated to transfer students in the higher subject-specific semester.
