Prof. Dr Markus Focke

These are precisely the kinds of questions Prof. Dr Markus Focke has been exploring for many years. Before taking up his post as Professor of Business Administration, specialising in procurement, production and logistics management at FH Aachen, he worked, amongst other things, at Porsche Consulting, an international management consultancy and subsidiary of Porsche AG. There, his projects focused primarily on improving processes and increasing productivity.

Prof. Dr Meike Utzerath

At first glance, taxation may seem rather dry – but in practice, it often determines how companies are set up, developed or positioned internationally. Before becoming a professor of business administration, specialising in strategic corporate decision-making and taxation, at FH Aachen, Prof. Dr Meike Utzerath worked as a tax adviser at Ernst & Young (EY), one of the world’s leading tax consultancy and auditing firms. There, she gained extensive practical experience at the interface between business administration, taxation and corporate decision-making.

Prof. Dr Martin Büdenbender 

How does a company decide whether to invest, cut costs or utilise new sources of finance? Prof. Dr Martin Büdenbender has examined precisely these kinds of questions within large corporations. Before becoming a professor of business administration, specialising in corporate finance, at FH Aachen, he held positions including Commercial Financial Director at Henkel. There, he was responsible for the financial and commercial management of business divisions with a combined turnover in the billions. Prior to that, he worked for several years in the corporate finance division of thyssenkrupp AG – dealing with issues such as capital raising, liquidity planning and investments, amongst other things.

How does one attract the right talent to a company? How does one develop teams further? And how does one manage change within large organisations? Prof. Dr Thomas Fritz has been addressing these questions in a practical capacity for many years – including at McKinsey & Company, one of the world’s leading management consultancies. There, he initially worked as a management consultant and later took on various leadership roles in recruitment and human resources – including as Director of Recruitment for Germany/Austria and EMEA, and most recently as Director of Human Resources for Germany/Austria.
