New to the Faculty

We are very pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Business Studies! With our programme, consisting of preparatory courses, information events, orientation days and much more, we ensure a good start to your studies. Take the opportunity to get to know the faculty and get an overview of the most important processes. We also support your academic success during the further course of your studies with further offers within the framework of Studi-Support.

Preparatory courses

In a business and economics degree programme, mathematical knowledge as well as knowledge of accounting are required. If you would like to brush up on your school knowledge before starting your studies, you have the opportunity to take part in preparatory courses. These courses start before the official start of studies and are voluntary. The Faculty of Business Studies offers bridging courses in mathematics (for Business Studies and Global Business and Economics) and accounting (only for Business Studies).

FH Card

Please apply for the FH Card as soon as you are enroled.

It serves as a student ID card, as a library card, as a payment card in the dining halls, cafeterias and branch libraries and for participation and access control at university sports.

Further information on the FH Card and how to apply.

University account

The university account is the user account for central access-restricted services at FH Aachen. A university account is set up for every student. After registration you will receive your access data from the Registrar's Office, which you can use to activate your account. After the activation it can take about 24 hours before you can use your university account and your university email address.

The university account is used for authentication when logging on to computer workstations at the FH, email and WIFI. You also need the account to register for preparatory courses or lectures.

The university will only communicate with you via your university address. According to the enrolment regulations of the FH Aachen, you are obliged to check the email account provided by the FH Aachen regularly (at least once a day) in order to receive documents and messages from the FH Aachen.

On the pages of the data processing centre you will find, among other things, information on the different forms of authentication, the activation and the setting options of your account.

WLAN on campus

On the entire area of the FH Aachen you have free access to the WIFI network eduroam, which you can connect to by entering your access data.

Information materials

Before the start of studies, we will send you a checklist by email before the start of lectures(Bachelor's checklist, Master's checklist (DE), Master's checklist (EN)).
