What are credit points?

Credits or credit points according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) are used to measure the student workload.

Course documents such as lecture notes and exercise sheets are made available to you on ILIAS.
You can only access the documents after you have registered for the corresponding course in CampusOffice.

If there is no more space in the lecture groups you have selected, please check whether another group of this course is offered.

Can I get Business English recognised?

If you have already taken examinations in the languages we offer (e.g. at a vocational college), you can apply for recognition at the Academic Counselling Service.

Are courses offered in English?

Whether courses are offered in English varies per degree programme. As a rule, no courses are offered in English in the Business Law programme. In the Business Studies degree programme, several courses are also offered in English. You can find the current offer in CampusOffice.

From when can I choose specialisation modules?

Depending on the courses offered, specialisation modules are to be selected from the fourth semester onwards.

Are there admission requirements for examinations?

Admission requirements apply to certain examinations.

In the Business Studies degree programme, for example, you must have passed the course Business Mathematics and Statistics 1 in order to be allowed to take Business Mathematics 2 from the second semester and Statistics 2 from the third semester.

In the Business Law degree programme, for example, you must have passed Schuldrecht 1 in order to be allowed to take Schuldrecht 2 from the second semester.

In the degree programme Global Business and Economics, for example, you must have passed Financial Accounting in order to be allowed to take Business Taxation and International Accounting (IFRS) from the third semester.

How many attempts do I have for an exam?

You receive three examination attempts for each examination. In the degree programme International Business Studies you will only receive 2 examination attempts per module. You will find information on this in the Examination Regulations for your degree programme.

Can I improve my examination achievements?

You are allowed to improve a total of three passed examination achievements during your studies. The improvement attempt must be made within three examination periods after passing the module. The better result of the examinations is always taken into account.
