The final semester

At the end of your studies, you can obtain the following certificates from the facult's Examinations Office:

• Certificate on the expected end of studies
• Provisional certificate of successful completion of studies
• Bachelor/Master degree certificate, graduation diploma (see below)

If you need a certificate (not the final report or the certificate), please write an email to pruefungsamt.maschbau(at)fh-aachen.de with your student ID number and state the certificate you need.

The degree certificate and diploma will be issued after you have completed your colloquium and after the total degree grade (that includes the examination results of the final thesis and the colloquium) has been forwarded by the supervisor to the Examination Office, usually within six weeks without further application. As soon as the documents are available, notification is sent by e-mail. The documents can be collected from the Examinations Office or sent by post.

For deregistration:

Your studies are completed with the colloquium and you are automatically deregistered at the end of the current semester. If the date of your colloquium is at the beginning or in the middle of the current semester and you would like to be deregistered BEFORE the end of the semester, you can apply for deregistration at the Registrar's Office via the FH Aachen Portal. In the application for deregistration you can also specify a date for your deregistration. When submitting your application, you should take into account that the desired date of your deregistration lies AFTER your colloquium and is not retroactive and that the processing of the application for deregistration requires a maximum of 3 working days.

It is important to note that you must still be a registered student at FH Aachen on the day of your colloquium, i.e. you can be deregistered 1 day AFTER your colloquium at the earliest. If the date of your colloquium is before the start of lectures of a new semester, the semester fee will be refunded.
