Graduation ceremonies
When graduation is complete, students can look back with pride on their challenging studies. They have either achieved their first academic degree (Bachelor) or successfully completed their Master's degree. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics honors its graduates with a graduation ceremony, which takes place annually in November in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall. There they solemnly receive their graduation certificates in a small social program.
Would you like to do a doctorate?
Universities of applied sciences do not yet have an independent right to award doctorates, but at the FH Aachen you can earn a doctorate after completing your master's degree. You will be supervised jointly by a professor at an university and at the FH Aachen. This is called a cooperative doctorate. After successfully completing your doctorate, the university will award you a doctoral degree. With the doctorate, the completion of the doctoral degree, the ability is proven to be able to work independently and in depth scientifically.

Welding engineers' meeting
For around 30 years, the subject area "Joining and Separation Technology, Laser Technology" at the FH Aachen has been responsible for training of students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics in welding technology. In 2014, FH Aachen started to invite former students and welding engineers (SFI) to an annual meeting in order to exchange technical knowledge in a competent circle and to maintain contacts.
