We have maintained close relationships with companies for decades and are constantly expanding our network. All our degree programmes include one or more projects with topics from real professional practice. Many of our project and final theses take place in companies. Our R&D projects also usually involve cooperation with companies.

For Faculty 8 alumni
The Faculty for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics has been training engineers for over 100 years. Thousands of students got their degrees and consequently laid the foundations for their career here. We would like to strengthen the feeling of solidarity between our alumni as well as their connections with our faculty, because this feeling of togetherness is the inspiration for teaching that has its finger on the pulse and gives the motivation for lifelong learning. After all, you're an alumnus for life.

Are you planning a new development? Do you have an idea for an innovation? Do you want to optimize designs, processes or production sequences? We are looking for competent partners at our department and for custom-fit solutions for your problem.
We support you in working on topics that could be carried out as project or final theses, in joint R&D projects and in applying for and carrying out publicly funded projects.

The Central Machine Shop supports the faculties at the Aachen site in the production of components and the construction of devices and test benches. It also offers solid training for prospective industrial mechanics in precision engineering. Close cooperation with various Institutes, external companies and renowned research facilities guarantees high quality in the production of workpieces or manufacturing technology consulting and implementation. Benefit from our dedicated machine shop team, which consists of experienced specialists and motivated trainees. We would be happy to talk to you about your specific challenges and how the Central Machine Shop can support your company.

We bring you into contact with highly qualified young engineers! Introduce your company to future engineers - whether as part of practical trainings, project work or final theses, through guest lectures as part of specialised courses and lectures or through job advertisements.

After your studies
The successful completion of studies must of course be celebrated! The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics honors its graduates at an annual graduation ceremony, which takes place in mid-November in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall.
Those who would like to gain further professional qualifications after this can complete a master's degree or a doctorate with us.
We are happy when our graduates keep in touch with us, when our paths cross again - there are many ways to stay connected with us and our faculty.
