Rebound test with hip protector

The hip protector test stand is used to record the forces that can act on the hip joint in the event of a fall. In older people, this often results in a fracture of the neck of the femur. The risk of a fracture can be reduced by using so-called hip protectors, a type of cushioning pad that is positioned on the outside of the hip. Various hip protectors are being tested for their cushioning properties on behalf of i-care.

The test stand is currently being modified to test shin protectors in a similar way.
