Digital transformation
In order to implement an agile, transparent and efficient administration, analogue and partly decentralised processes must be optimised and digitalised.
The Online Access Act (OZG) and the eGovernment Act NRW (eGovG NRW) provide universities with a legal framework for implementing administrative digitalisation. Within this framework, we support and develop digitalisation projects at FH Aachen in close cooperation with the specialist departments, process management, the project coordinators and the system and specialist administrators.
To improve the organisation of the central (e.g. HR department) and decentralised organisational units (e.g. faculties), FH Aachen has set itself the task of introducing a document management system (DMS). This centralised system should enable the audit-proof storage of files and documents. Since the beginning of 2023, we have taken the lead in the introduction and operation of the DMS.
The individual processes of the various specialist departments are to be digitalised in separate sub-projects. To this end, we analyse the current status of the current processes, responsibilities and information flows and, on this basis, work with the specialist departments and employees to develop target processes that exploit the full potential of the digital systems.
