Which elections will take place in 2024?
Academic elections
In the period from 13 May to 17 May 2024, the student members of the Senate and the ten Faculty Councils will be elected by ballot/presidential election . These elections are organised by the Central Administration.

Wahlen zum Rat der studentischen Hilfskräfte (SHK-Rat)
Die Vertretung der Belange studentischer Hilfakräfte (SHK-Rat) besteht aus sieben Personen. Die Stelle begleitet die studentischen Hilfskräfte bei Fragen und Beschwerden in Bezug zu ihrem Arbeitsverhältnis. Sie überwacht die Beachtung geltenden Rechts. Diese Interessensvertretung wird jedes Jahr zum Teil neu gewählt. Die Anzahl der zu wählenden Mitglieder finden Sie unten.
Abstimmen dürfen hierfür nur die Studierenden. Organisatorisch ist der SHK-Rat bei der Verwaltung der FH Aachen angebunden. Daher liegt die Durchführung ebenfalls der Wahlleitung der akademischen Wahlen. Sie ist Ansprechpartnerin für alle Fragen rund um dieses Gremium.
Student elections
From 13 May to 17 May 2024, the Student Parliament and the Faculty Student Councils will also be elected by ballot/presence vote . These elections for the self-government of the student body are organised by the AStA. The following committees are elected in the academic elections
The following are to be elected to the Senate:
- Five representatives of the student group, each for one year.
- The term of office begins on 01/09/2024.

Wie kann ich meine Stimme abgeben?
Polling stations will be set up at each of FH Aachen's main campuses during the election week. The polling stations will be open from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. Votes can be cast upon presentation of a student ID card or identity card. The corresponding ballot papers will then be issued.
It will be possible to apply for a postal vote, more details will be announced later.
