Change of Degree Programme to the First Subject-Specific Semester

You are already studying at FH Aachen and would like to change degree programmes? Then please apply via the online application portal of FH Aachen. You will find further information on the application page.

For the online application, please log in with your existing FH ID via the application portal and select the menu item "Application for studies" in the tab "Range of studies offered". Please note the applicable application deadlines. It is not possible to change programmes during the current semester.

Internal students with a foreign university entrance qualification should contact auslandszulassungfh-aachen.de before submitting their online application to find out more about the procedure.

Change of Degree Programme to a Higher Subject-Specific Semester

When changing to a higher subject-specific semester, a classification by the faculty is required. Fill out the application for classification in case of transfer to another university
and have it signed by the Examination Board of the respective faculty of the FH Aachen.

For the online application please log in with your existing FH ID via the FH Aachen portal and choose the menu item "Application for studies" in the tab "Range of studies offered". Please note the applicable application deadlines. Upload the classification confirmed by the faculty to the online application.

If a degree programme is also admission-restricted in higher subject-specific semesters, it is possible that not all applicants will be offered a place.

After the re-registration phase has been completed, the number of places at university that are still available will be determined and these will then be allocated to transfer students in the higher subject-specific semester.

Changing the Area of Specialisation

You are already studying at FH Aachen and would like to change your area of specialisation?

You can apply for a change from a degree programme with a practical/abroad/mobility semester to the same degree programme without a practical/abroad/mobility semester and vice versa as a change of registration within the re-registration period.

To do so, please send the completed application for change of registration together with proof of payment of semester fees by post or email to the Registrar's Office.

The same procedure applies to changing the field of study (specialisation or focus) in the degree programme Medical Technology/Medical Engineering. Please note that the change of specialisation is only possible once.

The change of registration or the change of field of study will be confirmed to you by email.

It is not possible to change the registration in the current semester.
