List of Accommodation

Starting on December 16th (Tuesday) 1pm (German time), you can find on this website the rooms that are on administration by us in the International Faculty Office. 

Please check them carefully and give especial awareness to the individual notes we added to the offers! Generally, the rooms are on rent from March 1st until August 31st 2026 (one semester).

If you rent a room from the "Studierendenwerk" moving in will only be possible on weekdays and during the office hours of the Studierendenwerk, who is in charge of the rooms.

Choose your three favorite options and send a list until December 18th midnight (German time) via mail to [email protected]. Please name your options like we did on the webpage, e.g. "Room Dormitory Schillerstraße 86-88".
We will then distribute the rooms according to the mails that come in first and then inform you all about the results.

If you get one of the rooms, please consider it a binding reservation - you will soon get the details about where to send the deposit and the first rent. The deposit usually equals two month's rent and is of course refundable. This means that you get it back once you leave Aachen and the accommodation is in the same condition as when you have moved in and no other agreements have been made. But, it does not mean that you can charge the deposit against the two last rents! Please note, that in case you got allocated a room and will not come to Germany, you will still have to pay the first month rent and the deposit.

Please be quick, unfortunately we have to use the "first come - first served principle".

With the exception of the dormitory rooms, the rooms/apartments usually come without internet, but there are always cheap ways to get internet (for about 25€/month), for which we can give you recommendations unless no other information is listed.

Once being registered with the city of Aachen you will receive information about a contribution "Rundfunkbeitrag" of 18,36€ per month which all inhabitants in Germany have to pay. There are options to share it if you are staying in a flat with further students.

We will inform you as soon as possible about the results, so you know soon if you received a room or not!

Unfortunately, due to limited housing options available, we cannot offer each student a room and highly recommend students to look for housing options by oneself.
