As of Monday, 17 Aug 2020, the library will open again for members of FH Aachen. Until further notice, the following opening hours apply:
Mon-Fri 9 am to 1 pm
Please note the currently valid rules within the framework of the pilot operation.
The following applies to library visits for borrowing and returning media:
- Access only with FH Karte!
Your card is required for your registration, along with your telephone number. - Immediate registration! Signing in and signing out required!
A maximum of 10 persons is allowed. - Oronasal masks or mouth/nose protection mandatory.
Study places are restrictedly available:
Prior to coming to the library, check Catalogue PLUS to find out what the degree of capacity utilization is. Simply search for "Lernplatz Bibliothek Jülich" in the search slot.
The full display will show you how many of the study places are free.
Members of FH Aachen can book a study place in the library for the respective day.
Upon availability, you will receive a study place card with the seat number in the reading room as well as a form for the collection of contact details.
When leaving the library, hand in the study place card and the completed form at the checkout counter! Otherwise we will charge overdue fees!
In case of an early return, the study place can be booked again to someone else.
+++NEW+++ Book Return Box in Jülich
You want to return books in a contactless way?
We have installed a return box for books in the foyer of the Auditorium near the staircase. Please use the box for library books only and not for interlibrary loan books! Moreover, books must be returned in due time, as they will not be booked back until the following day!
Here are some other things you should know ;-)
- With immediate effect, you are no longer required to make appointments to use the library.
- Group workstations remain closed.
- PC pools remain closed - exception: scanning documents or printing at the printing station.
