this spring, the library of the FH Aachen in cooperation with other libraries in North Rhine-Westphalia will implement a new state-wide library management system.
Between March 28 and May 3, 2021 no new media can be ordered or added to our collection.
Purchasing suggestions submitted before March 15 are expected to be processed in time, requests received after this date will be postponed until May.
In this context, we would like to point out that since the beginning of this year, you will find an even broader range of e-books. On behalf of the State’s Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW), more than 100.000 additional e-books from various publishers (de Gruyter, Birkhäuser, Oldenbourg, Schäffer-Poeschel, Kohlhammer, Haufe etc.) were licenced for all universities in the state. They can already be found in our Catalogue PLUS. https://fhb-aachen.digibib.net/search/katalog. More joint e-book- offers are about to follow.
Not affected by this rule is the circulation of media.

Until February 14, 2021 the following regulations take effect:
- The branch libraries are accessible only for members of the FH Aachen from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Upon entering the library it is mandatory to log yourself in to the Corona attendance list
- As a basic rule, only borrowing and returning media is allowed. Please search for the shelf notation marks of the media you need and check their availability via Catalogue PLUS in advance. In addition, please check, whether there is a digital as possible! version of the media available via the campus network.
- All study places remain closed. Long-term stays in the library are not allowed.
- Book returns should preferably be done via the book return boxes at the specific locations during the building opening hours from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. [no return box at Campus Boxgraben]
