Practical semester, semester abroad or project semester
In various degree programmes, you have the opportunity to integrate an additional practical semester, semester abroad or project semester into your study progress. This comprises 30 credit points and therefore corresponds to an additional semester in the study schedule. This page provides you with an overview of the organisational procedures, the individual types of semesters and the respective requirements and options in the various degree programmes.
Organisational matters
A few basic steps are required for a practical semester, semester abroad or project semester:
> Change to the corresponding degree programme Business Administration/Business Studies with mobility semester, Business Law with practical semester or Global Business and Economics with elective semester (during the re-registration phase)
> Proof of at least 80 credits in the core studies
Register for the semester via the Examination Office. To do this, submit the application (de) / application (en) to the Examination Office. You will then receive an official admission letter. Depending on the variant, additional requirements must be met.
