Editorial Office
Together with the faculties, institutes, facilities, administration and university management, we take care of the creation, preparation and publication of editorial content. The task of the editorial team is to sift through the topics within the university, weigh them up, prepare them and bring them to the public via the appropriate channels. Editorial Work
The basis of our work is the comprehensive, critical research and preparation of topics; the complexity of the processes in teaching and research should be presented appropriately. At the same time, it is important to present topics in a catchy and understandable way. Our target groups are often not familiar with the processes and terms of the university world - so it is important to perform a "translation function" in order to convey content.
Our Channels
Different media and channels are available for university communication. They can be aimed at both external and internal target groups - accordingly, content must also be prepared differently. In addition to classic press work, we also take care of:
- the university magazine "Dimensionen"
- Brochures, flyers, posters, and other print products (together with our design team)
- Content for the news section on the homepage and for social media (together with the online editorial team)
Photos
More than ever, the selection and production of suitable images is a crucial part of editorial work. We advise on aspects of content and design as well as on technical issues. In addition, the editorial team is happy to produce photos of projects in teaching and research on request, take care of the documentation of events or create portraits of staff members.

Write & Send a Press Release
Production time: 2 weeks

Service provided by the editorial team:
Writing and sending a press release on an event, special date or scientific topic to the local and/or supraregional press, if necessary advice and support with the conception.
Service of the contact person(s) in the faculty or the institution:
Early announcement of an event or topic at the Department of Public Relations and Marketing. In addition, content and interview partners should be made available. Subsequently, the text and visual material must be approved by the participants.
Event Notice to the Press
Production time: 1 week
Costs: None
Service provided by the editorial team:
Sending a notice to the local and/or supraregional press about events of the FH with a request for inclusion in the respective media.
Service of the contact person(s) in the faculty or the institution:
Provision of all information on the event as well as a programme schedule
Reporting of Events
Production time: 2 weeks
Costs: None
Service provided by the editorial team:
Publicity preparation of an event in text, image and, if necessary, video format for the various channels of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing.
Service of the contact person(s) in the faculty or the institution:
The Department of Public Relations and Marketing must be informed about the date and the programme in good time. The text must then be released.
Create Press Photos
Production time:
External Photographer: at least 3 weeks
Internal Photographer: also possible at short notice

Preparation of University Topics for Print and Online Publications

High-profile presentation of a university topic in text, image and, if applicable, video format.
