Certificate, Certified Copies and Verification

Certificate

The Bachelor's or Master's degree certificate as well as the official document will be issued by the Examination Office of the respective Faculty after you have completed your studies.

As soon as the documents are available, you will be notified by email. The documents can then be collected from the Examination Office or sent by postal mail by prior arrangement.

Certified Copies

If you would like duplicates or copies of certificates and documents, you must submit an application to the Division II.1 - Academic Affairs at zweitschriftenfh-aachen.de.

Certification

You can have your original FH Aachen documents certified at the Student Service. Please make an appointment by sending an email to stufh-aachen.de or by phone +49.241.6009 51616.

Use of final documents abroad

If documents and certificates from FH Aachen are to be used in another country, they must generally be pre-certified by the university. Please enquire at the diplomatic mission in Germany of the country in which the documents are to be used.

For free pre-certification, please submit legible scans of the required documents and your postal address informally to the Department II.1 - Academic Affairs at the e-mail address zweitschriftenfh-aachen.de. The pre-certified documents will then be forwarded by Department II.1 - Academic Affairs to the Cologne District Government for the issue of the apostille. The costs of this procedure are charged there.

Some countries also require final legalisation, which is issued by the Federal Office for Foreign Affairs (BfAA) in Brandenburg/Havel.

Verification

Do you want to have your degree verified for an employer or another university? Or are you working on behalf of such a person?

Many companies or universities require verification of degrees. If this is the case, you must have your degree confirmed by the university from which you received it.

If you have successfully completed your studies at FH Aachen, we can verify your degree. This means that we will check and confirm the authenticity of your degree.

Please note the following instructions and contact the examination offices of the respective faculty of your degree programme with your request Examination Offices of the faculties of your degree programme.

How can I confirm a degree?

Where should I send verification requests?

What information and documents are required?
