Information Systems M.Sc.

As part of the consecutive Master's degree programme in Information Systems, students acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of Information Systems after completing their first professional qualification.

The Information Systems degree programme is characterised by its international orientation and its flexible catalogue of elective modules, with a focus on acquiring skills for dynamic and sustainable digital transformation. In addition to an English-language foundation course, students can choose modules in English and German from various specialisations (International Business and Management, Information Systems Engineering, Data Science and Digital Business) in the compulsory elective area.

The course is designed in such a way that students can complete it entirely in English.

Our concept promotes an inclusive learning environment for students from many different countries, prepares our students for global challenges and enables personal and professional development.

The degree programme is application- and research-oriented and is aimed at above-average graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes with an information technology and business administration focus, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Business and Business Studies.

This guiding principle and our vision of a modern Master's degree programme in Business Information Systems result in the following learning objectives for the Information Systems (M.Sc.) degree programme:- Graduates develop and expand dynamic skills (especially in the design and use of information systems) of companies in the context of digital transformation.

- Graduates are able to analyse, evaluate and change the information system and process landscape of companies from an economic and technological perspective.

- Graduates shape the digital transformation process in intercultural and interdisciplinary teams as specialists or managers.

- Graduates analyse, evaluate and communicate the practical implications of digital transformation for companies and society, particularly with regard to sustainable business practices.

- Graduates apply scientific methods to develop evidence-based new findings and apply them in a design-oriented manner.
