Suggestions and Complaints Centre - StAB
Students who have a problem during their studies and do not know who to turn to, or who have suggestions and proposals for improving the study conditions or the studyability of their degree programme, can turn to the StAB.
The StAB was set up for central coordination and works closely with the relevant offices, liaison officers in the departments and the AStA.

The Pedagogical Centre Aachen e.V.
The Pädagogisches Zentrum Aachen e.V. (PÄZ) is a non-profit association based at Mariahilfstraße 16, which is particularly dedicated to promoting education, leisure activities and integration work for children, young people and adults of foreign, binational and German origin.
The PÄZ also runs a psychosocial counselling centre for refugees, migration counselling and an open all-day school and acts as a contact point to support social participation.

A trauma outpatient clinic in a psychiatric clinic is a special contact point for people who have experienced a stressful or traumatic event (e.g. accident, violence, abuse, sudden loss).

The Crisis Compass app is a free application from the telephone counselling service that supports people in emotional distress. It offers self-help exercises, emergency contacts and direct links to professional help. The aim of the app is to provide those affected with quick and discreet support around the clock in crisis situations.
[U25] Online suicide prevention
[U25] Germany is a free and confidential mail counselling service for people under 25 who are in (suicidal) crisis.
Counselling is provided by peers and you can contact them anonymously using a nickname via the helpmail function.
You will usually receive an initial reply within 48 hours; after that, a peer will reply at least every seven days for as long as you wish to stay in contact.
In acute emergencies, contact the emergency numbers or the emergency room of a hospital.
