Application Step by Step

1. Register for the current semester in the FH Aachen portal. (Registrations from previous semesters will be deleted and are no longer valid).
2. Go through the online application of FH Aachen and click on "Submit application".
3. Afterwards you will be forwarded directly to the online application for registration.
4. Here you can upload the documents mentioned in the letter of admission. Your letter of admission will be available in the inbox of the FH Aachen portal.
5. After the Registrar's Office has checked your documents, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

1. Create an account at hochschulstart.de and note down the BID and BAN assigned there.
2. Register for the current semester at the FH Aachen portal. Log in there with the BID and BAN.
3. Go through the online application of FH Aachen and click on "Submit application".
4. Wait for an offer of admission and complete the registration data via this portal after you have accepted the place at university.
5. Afterwards, upload the registration documents mentioned in the letter of admission to the FH Aachen portal. You will find your letter of admission in your inbox of the FH Aachen portal.
6. After the Registrar's Office has checked your documents, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

The following Bachelor's degree programmes have a local admission restriction at FH Aachen for the winter semester 2023/24:

• Digital Innovation and Business (previously Media and Communications for Digital Business)
• Product Design

• Industrial Engineering
• Business Law

If you are interested in a dual studies programme at FH Aachen, you first have to look for a training place (training-accompanying dual studies) or a job (extra-occupational dual studies).

Afterwards, you can apply for the respective dual study programme according to the application procedure for Bachelor's degree programmes via the FH Aachen portal. The proof of an employment relationship or the training contract has to be uploaded for the online application as well as for the online application for registration.

A second degree programme is one in which you have already obtained a first professional university degree at a German university and now wish to complete a second professional university degree.

Please apply as described above according to the application procedure for Bachelor 's degree programmes without admission restriction or with admission restriction.

If you are applying for an admission-restricted degree programme, you must submit an informal written application for participation in the award procedure after submitting your online application and submit it to the Registrar's Office. The deadline for submission is 10 July each winter semester and 10 January each summer semester.

The following proofs and certificates are required for this application:

> Certified copy of the degree certificate of your first degree.

> Certified copies of all proofs and certificates of academic achievements or activities that constitute your second degree.

> Informal written statement (on a separate sheet of paper) explaining why you wish to pursue a second degree.

The application for all Master's degree programmes of FH Aachen is done via the FH Aachen portal, regardless of the country in which you have acquired your university entrance qualification.

Application procedure

1. Make scans of the following documents:
   • Bachelor's degree certificate
   • Curriculum vitae
   • Employment reference (if available)
2. Register at the FH Aachen portal. If you are already studying at FH Aachen, log in with your FH ID to submit the application.
3. Go through the online application of FH Aachen and click on "Submit application".
4. Wait for an offer of admission and then complete the online application for registration in the FH Aachen portal.
5. For this purpose, upload the documents mentioned in the letter of admission. The letter of admission is available in the inbox of the FH Aachen portal.
6. After the Registrar's Office has checked your documents, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

1. Get a confirmation of classification in a higher subject-specific semester from the Examination Board of the respective faculty at FH Aachen and scan it.
2. Register at the FH Aachen portal. If you are already studying at FH Aachen, log in with your FH ID to complete the application.
3. Go through the online application of FH Aachen and click on "Submit application".
4. If you have applied for an admission-free degree programme, you can register online right after the application.
5. To do so, upload the documents mentioned in the admission letter. The letter of admission is available in the inbox of the FH Aachen portal.
6. If you have applied for an admission-restricted degree programme, you will only receive an admission notification after the application deadline on 31 August 2023 and then carry out the online application for registration.
7. After the Registrar's Office has checked your documents, you will receive confirmation of your registration by email.
