Experience Abroad
For many students at FH Aachen, spending part of their studies abroad is simply a given. They are aware of the numerous opportunities that a stay abroad has to offer:
They immerse themselves in foreign cultures, meet lots of new people, and deepen and broaden their specialist knowledge and language skills. Staying abroad is a fantastic opportunity to get to know themselves and their strengths better. This time will enrich them personally and shape their future career path.
We would like to encourage and motivate all students to make the most of this opportunity whilst they are studying – it’s well worth it!
Your Options
During a semester abroad, students usually spend one or two semesters at a university abroad.
You can either participate in an exchange program with a partner university of the FH Aachen or apply as a Freemover at a university of your choice.
The advantages of an exchange program are
- simplified admission requirements
- no tuition fees at the partner university
- application to the partner university through the Department of International Affairs or a contact person in your faculty.
In many fields of study it is possible to substitute an integrated internship semester with a study semester abroad.
