DELTA t - the student café on the Jülich campus
At DELTA t you can spend a relaxing time between lectures and seminars.
Organised by the AStA - by students for students. Drop by for Fairtrade coffee, nice people and small events.
Whether it's for a short break, to chat with fellow students or as a meeting place before the next study group: DELTA t is a social and cultural space where exchange, participation and student engagement are paramount. Cooperation with the KSG (Katholische Studentengemeinde Jülich) and the INterkulturelles Centrum Aachener Studierender Jülich (INCAS) is also particularly important. Together, these organisations ensure an exciting campus life.
DELTA t is an alternative source of food on campus outside of dining hall (Mensa) opening hours. Among other things, it offers fair trade coffee, snacks and drinks. The business thrives on the commitment of volunteers - new faces from the student body are always welcome, whether behind the counter, organising events or with new ideas.
The DELTA is open Monday to Friday, occasionally also at weekends.

About the city of Jülich
Jülich is an inviting medium-sized town with around 33,000 inhabitants. It is located in the beautiful landscape of the Rur valley, about 35 kilometres east of Aachen.
A landmark of the town of Jülich is the Hexenturm, a typical Gothic town gate, which is one of four former town gates in the medieval town wall of Jülich. After the almost complete destruction of Jülich in the Second World War, the Witches' Tower was first secured in 1949-1952, followed by a further restoration phase from 1961 to 1964, during which the onion domes dating back to the 17th century were also restored to their original state.
Jülich Citadel is one of the oldest and best-preserved fortifications north of the Alps. It was built in the mid-16th century as part of Duke Wilhelm V's reorganisation of the town after the town fire of 1547 and was constructed according to the ideals of Italian fortress construction as a pentagonal planned town with a palazzo in fortezza under the direction of the architect Alessandro Pasqualini. While only a few remnants of the former town fortifications remain, the citadel has largely survived as a residence and has seen a variety of uses over the course of its almost 450-year history - from princely residence to barracks and military training centre to its destruction in the Second World War. After being taken over by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1965, the enclosure was restored and carefully expanded on its historical layout; since 1972, it has served as an educational centre in a renewed form and combines history, architecture and current use in a unique way.
Jülich's gardens and parks offer peace and relaxation, while various opportunities for sport and leisure activities are available throughout the city. For nature lovers, there is a well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails along the Rur with a variety of routes through nature and landscape conservation areas. Jülich has more than 60 sports clubs with several football pitches and tennis courts as well as riding stables and gymnasiums. If you want to relax after your activities, there are recreational areas such as the Brückenkopfpark, which are particularly recommended.
In Jülich, customs are intensively cultivated by numerous institutions and clubs. Further information about the diverse town and its surroundings can be found on jüwork jülife.
